The two-year term of the current AMA leadership comes to a close at the end of this this month. Nominations for the next AMA President and Vice President close at 5pm this evening, 15 July.
Nominations for candidates seeking election as the AMA President and Vice President opened on 17 June and close this evening at 5pm, Friday 15 July.
The term of the current leadership team of Dr Omar Khorshid as AMA President and Dr Chris Moy as Vice President will come to a formal close on Sunday 31 July 2022 at the AMA National Conference.
In line with the AMA constitution, an election for the new leadership will be carried out and the new leaders announced. The election process will be held at 11.30 on Sunday where the presidential and vice presidential candidates outline their vision for the AMA and its members. The ballot will then be conducted. The AMSA President will give the annual AMSA address as ballots for the election are counted.
When the election result is known, the incoming AMA President will make their inaugural address and the outgoing AMA President will make his final address.
