As the competition for medical training positions heats up, proactively managing, planning and reviewing your career is now more than ever, a critical component of helping you secure that much coveted job. And with currently over 64 different medical specialties to choose from in Australia, making the decision to specialise in one, can seem daunting. Your CV and Interview Skills event is designed to assist with getting into your preferred training program. It's a session provided free to members.

For our doctors in training, we recognise you need to gain the edge when applying for positions – we can help you create an application that will have you standing out from the crowd. We know that there are many practitioners who have never, ever had to sit an interview and as part of a career direction change find themselves having to update their CV, address selection criteria and attend an interview.

For medical students, this event provides access to expert, individual, medical career advice to help when you’re applying for training in hospitals, writing your resume or application(s) or brushing up on your interview skills. Invaluable!

Both presenters on the night will provide you with useful tips to polish up your CV and interview skills. Your presenters will bge Dr Janice Fletcher the Past-President AMA(SA) and Dr David Walsh Chair AMA(SA) Council. Plus, there will also be specialist representatives available to chat to on the night from colleges such as: RACP, RACS, RACGP, RANZCP, RANZCOG, RCPA
