The Return to Work Act 2014 mandates that Return to WorkSA engage in consultations with stakeholders before publishing a fee schedule.
The consultation paper from RTWSA, accessible here, outlines proposed adjustments and the methodology for calculating fees for medical services in the 2024-25 period, effective from 1 July 2024. Specifically, it covers:
- Attendance fees for medical practitioners
- Anaesthetic fees
- Fees for Independent Medical Examiners
- Fees for Permanent Impairment Assessments
