Member response sought to proposed ReturnToWorkSA fees

ReturntoWorkSA (RTWSA) has provided the AMA(SA) with its Consultation Paper relating to fees proposed in its Provider Fee Review.

As one of the specified stakeholders to which the Return to Work Act 2014 (the Act) requires ReturnToWorkSA to consult, the AMA(SA) has been asked to provide feedback on the Consultation Paper and the proposed fees by Friday, 13 March 2020.

This feedback will be considered by the ReturnToWorkSA Board before the final fee schedule is published.

AMA(SA) President Dr Chris Moy is asking members to consider providing input into the AMA(SA) response to the Consultation Paper.

‘This is an important issue that affects many of our members,’ Dr Moy says. ‘The opportunity to provide input into our response to this Consultation Paper is one of the few ways for medical practitioners to potentially influence the final fee schedule.

‘Of particular note is the proposal to make a one-off adjustment to reduce selected diagnostic imaging fees. This may have implications for some members.’
