Would you believe it? 7% of Australian carbon emissions are from our healthcare sector alone.

Together with the AMA and Global Green and Healthy Hospitals, you can now access tools, resources and events to help reduce the health sectors carbon footprint. These resources provide advice on measurable actions like deploying onsite renewable energy; minimizing waste generation; and efficient water usage. These actions have financial benefits as well as environmental gains.

The Global Green and Healthy Hospitals network has more than 1,200 members in 60 countries who represent the interests of over 36,000 hospitals and health centers.

With healthcare services leaving a significant environmental footprint, let’s work together and take action to influence change and ensure a sustainable future within our own workplace, after all, we own the future!

To get involved, contact the AMA’s Member Services Team for more information.
