AMA Submission to National Health Literary Strategy

The medical profession, media outlets and all governments have a role to play in helping people stay healthy. The AMA is calling on the government to prioritise a response to the proliferation of medical misinformation that is available online. We also recognise that not all people have equal access and resources to inform themselves about how to stay healthy and well, and we therefore call for a multi-sector approach to address the inequalities that impact on poor health literacy.
