Have you recently completed your AMC MCQ? Do you want to practise medicine in Australia?

The Australian Medical Association’s Career Advice Service invites you to attend a workshop that will equip you with the knowledge and skills to improve your chances of getting a job in Australia.

This workshop will help:

  • equip you with the knowledge of what employers look for in your cover letter and CV;
  • take away practical tips to address selection criteria and prepare for an interview;
  • understand what is expected in your year of supervised practice;
  • identify where you can seek help;
  • broaden your knowledge of the medical workforce pressures and opportunities in Australia;
  • help you navigate Medicare as a health provider; and
  • understand what the Medical Board’s Code of Good Conduct means for you.

This workshop has been designed for International Medical Graduates (IMGs) who have:

  1. successfully completed the AMC MCQ examination;
  2. do not have an employment offer as a doctor yet; and
