AMA submission on Building a National Clinicians Network Discussion Paper

The AMA supports the development of a National Clinicians Network (NCN) and the convening of clinicians to participate in state and national forums to enhance clinical leadership and engagement across the health sector.  The AMA suggests some specific changes to enhance the NCN, including scheduling meetings at least 8 weeks in advance to allow clinicians to make arrangements in the workplace so they can attend; including practical example(s) of how clinical engagement will work under the NCN; making themes for forums direct and forward-looking; making people accountable for how outcomes are dealt with; and prompt public reporting after forums.
