Advocating for members

The AMA is the peak professional body for doctors in Australia advocating for its members at the Federal, and State and Territory level.

The AMA promotes and protects the professional interests of doctors and the healthcare needs of patients and communities over a range of issues driven by the membership. Working with governments, the AMA is strategically positioned to challenge governments on policy, improve industrial relations issues, and provide informed, expert medical commentary on health issues.
