1. Expert Witnesses That the AMA believes that it is unethical for doctors to hold themselves out as experts in particular areas of practice when they are not recognised as such by their colleagues. 2. Conflict of Interest That the AMA believes that, when requested to provide an expert opinion and faced with a conflict of interest, a practitioner should declare this or decline to offer an opinion."
