AMA Family Doctor Week 2002 is 14-20 July.

AMA Federal President, Dr Kerryn Phelps, will launch Family Doctor Week this Sunday, 14 July 2002. The AMA Family Doctor Week theme this year is "General Practice - The Smart Way To Better Health", built around simple tips for people to stay healthy.

Dr Phelps will be joined by Sydney GP, Dr Barbara Frankowicz, and her patient, Mr James Welch, to highlight the vital role that GPs play in educating people on smart ways to better health.

James lost 100kg in twelve months thanks to his GP.
