Media Alert - 2003 AMA Parliamentary Breakfast
AMA President, Dr Kerryn Phelps, will this morning, Thursday 6 March 2003, host the 2003 AMA Parliamentary Breakfast in the Mural Hall, Parliament House, Canberra, between 7.00am and 9.00am.
The AMA's 32 Federal Councillors - representing all the States and Territories and all the medical specialties - will be joined by around 80 MPs and Senators at the Breakfast.
Dr Phelps will speak on the major health issues of the moment - Medicare, bulk billing, doctor shortages and medical indemnity - and answer questions from the politicians.
Dr Phelps will be available to talk to the media at the conclusion of the Parliamentary Breakfast at approximately 9.10am at the House of Representatives entrance to Parliament House.
