As a Platinum Card member, you have automatic access to Ascent Premium, our highest tier of rewards. You'll to earn 1.5 points for every dollar you spend up to AUD200,000 per year reverting to one point for every dollar spent thereafter¹ and your points don’t expire as long as your account remains current and in good standing.

The Membership Rewards program gives you many ways to redeem the points you earn. Points can be used to book travel and accommodation or for retail products and vouchers. You can even transfer your points to a range of airline reward and frequent guest partner programs².

Just as important, it lets you use your points for everything from credit on your Card account to the latest hi-tech rewards, like a GPS navigator or an iPod.

1. Subject to the Terms and Conditions of the Membership Rewards Ascent Premium program.
2. To transfer Membership Rewards points into an airline rewards partner’s program you must be a member of the relevant airline rewards program. Membership of the relevant airline rewards program is the member’s responsibility and membership of, and points in that program are subject to that program's terms and conditions. A joining fee may apply. The redemption of Membership Rewards points will be administered solely by American Express and is subject to the enclosed Terms and Conditions of the Membership Rewards program.
3. Points may be redeemed by the Basic Cardmember for a credit on the Primary Card account. American Express may decline a Points for Credit request where the Card account or Platinum Card member’s other accounts with American Express are not in good standing. The redemption of Points for Credit will be administered solely by American Express within 3 business days and cannot be reversed. Points for Credit is not available for redemption by Corporate Card accounts and is not redeemable for cash via balance refund.
