Attached below is a letter of 12 October 2009 to general practitioners from the Commonwealth's Chief Medical Officer and formal guidance from the Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation (ATAGI) on the use of latex-containing syringes from the pandemic vaccination packs. This advice has been provided following the investigation of a possible adverse reaction in a person with an allergy to latex.
