The Commonwealth Department of Health and Ageing have prepared an updated clinical resource document for clinicians on the clinical management of Pandemic (H1N1) 2009. This document was released on 10 July 2009 and has been developed in line with the current Australian response phase called PROTECT.

This resource has been produced to provide guidance to clinicians on the clinical management of patients with presumptive or confirmed infection with Pandemic (H1N1) 2009. It can be accessed at the Commonwealth Department of Health and Ageing website. It should be read in conjunction with current advice on the diagnosis of this infection, as well as resources available concerning the current pandemic phase and the focus of investigation, treatment and public health measures at the time.
