Access to member only services has been made possible by using information managed by Australasian Medical Publishing Company Pty Ltd ("AMPCo") about AMA membership. Accordingly, we collect names and AMA membership numbers for the purposes of granting access to member only services.
The AMA collects information from members in the form of answers and scores for modules that have been attempted and/or completed as part of the SALT program. The AMA also collects information that members have satisfactorily completed the SALT program.
The AMA will only collect your e-mail address if you send a message to us via our website e-mail addresses. Your e-mail address may then be used for the purposes for which you have provided it, and may also be used to update AMPCo information.
The AMA may attempt to identify users or their browsing activities. However, in the unlikely event of an investigation, a law enforcement agency or other government agency, including the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission, may exercise its legal authority to inspect our Internet Service Provider's logs, and thus gain information about users and their activities.
All the identified information that the AMA has used to grant member access can be viewed and changed by members when they view your personal details within the SALT program.
When members have satisfactorily completed the SALT program, the AMA forwards this information to the Royal Australian College of General Practice ("RACGP"), for their review and accreditation for CME purposes.
Any information that members change on this site (with the exception of their password) may be used to update their AMPCo information.
